Got me a purple tick by my name on Twitch. Twitch has been great for getting a little extra income while connecting with new fans, and every little helps when recovering from the pandemic and to be honest, having more revenue streams is something I have stupidly overlooked a lot as an Independent Artist. It can be quite overwhelming starting something new and I frequently see that overwhelmed glare in my peers eyes when I suggest that they give twitch a go lol.
Don’t get me wrong, there have been days when I haven’t felt like pressing the “Go Live” button but the less you think about it the easier it becomes and before you know it quite a few people from across the world are happy to chill out watch you grow as an online entertainer. I really didn’t expect to get Partner this quickly as I only started to regularly stream in November.
As things start to get back to “normal” after the pandemic I will start to have more in person gigs but I really wanna try my hardest to keep streaming regularly, right now of course I make more money from my bookings but having people from all over the world want to hang out with you from the comfort of their devices for 3 - 4 hours is something I can’t take for granted.
